dc.description This propeller was built in 1919 by Manitowoc Shipbuilding Company, Manitowoc, Wisconsin. She was owned by U.S. Shipping Board, Washington, D. C., until 1926, when she was sold to Western Reserve Navigation Company, Cleveland, Ohio. She was then sold to New England and New York & Texas Steamship Corporation, Cleveland, Ohio, in 1927. She was bought in 1928 by Newtex Steamship Corporation, New York, New York, before being sold to British Minister of War Transport, London, Great Britain, in 1940. She was sold to William Brown Atkinson & Company, London, Great Britain, in 1946. Mustafa Ve Ahmet Ve Venbi Aldikacti Vapurculuk Kollectie Sirketi, Istanbul, Turkey, purchased her in 1948. In 1932, she became "Texas Ranger," in 1940, she became "Empire Snipe," in 1946, she became "Staxton," and in 1948, she became "Ileri." She was scrapped in Turkey in 1968. en_US
