Description: | The "Ramona" was a steam yacht built at Newberg, New York by Bigler and Company in 1886. She was used mainly as a yacht on the Hudson River. In 1900, the vessel was owned by the Thousand Island Steamship Company of Cape Vincent. Having a narrow beam, it was necessary to have bilge keels installed to ease rolling. Thus, her nickname became the "Tub." From 1925 to 1929, she was listed to the Canadian Steamship Line. |
