dc.description Built of steel in 1918 at Wyandotte, Michigan, "Lake Gormania" was bought by Henry Ford from the United States Shipping Board. She was later scrapped in 1925. Mr. Ford bought several hundred and scrapped them; however, about a dozen were converted into barges, by Henry Ford, some of which were lengthened by 62 feet. en
