dc.description This vessel was built at West Bay City, Michigan in 1893 by the F. W. Wheeler Shipbuilding Company. She was of 2,056 gross tons. She was owned by the Cuyahoga Transit Company of Cleveland, Ohio. She foundered on Lake Michigan in 1898 with all hands. Seventeen lives were lost. She was bound from Chicago, Illinois for Midland, Ontario with a cargo of corn. The schooner "Olive Jeanette" was in tow which was saved. en_US
