dc.description The “Badger” was built in 1953 by Christy Corp. of Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin. The steel propeller vessel was first owned by the Chesapeake & Ohio Railway Co., of Detroit, Michigan, from 1952 until 1983. In October 1973, she struck a pier at Kewaunee, WI, causing shell damage and crushing the end of the pier. In 1983, ownership transferred to the Michigan-Wisconsin Transportation co. of Ludington, MI. No further information, including disposition, is available for the vessel after 1983. en_US
