Description: Another of the famous Erie Railroad trio by the Union Steamboat Line of Buffalo was the "Owego," built at Buffalo in 1888. Her running mates, the "Chemung" and "Tioga" were the fastest package freights on the lakes, operating from Buffalo to Duluth. "Owego", in 1890, ran from Buffalo to Chicago in 54.5 hours, an average of 16.5 per hour. "Owego" went to China in 1924 and had the names of "Yin Tung," "Ting On," and "Nua Yang." She was reportedly sunk in 1944.
